We had a fantastic time at this stunning Irish country house. the house itself is beautifully decorated, and the owners have clearly put a lot of love and care into maintaining it. the history of the place, which the friendly host Sean was happy to share with us, was truly impressive. the grounds surrounding the house were also lovely, with a river running through the land where we could take a refreshing dip. As young people, we really appreciated the proximity of the house to the Wicklow Way, a popular walking trail south of Dublin. the outdoor setting, with its giant sequoia trees and hydrangea-filled garden, made it the perfect venue for outdoor events. And the highlight of our stay was definitely the dinners. the food, made entirely from scratch by Patricia, was absolutely delightful. We especially loved the apple crisp made from their own apples. We would drive for hours just to experience these dinners alone!

Felt right at home in this cozy country house - no complaints at all.

Spacious and scenic location for Wicklow Way hikers. Friendly host, Sean, serves excellent breakfasts. Lovely donkeys on site. Beautiful house with impressive grounds and wildlife. Relaxing atmosphere, like sharing someone's country mansion.

The double room at Ballyteige Lodge was just perfect for my stay! The electric kettle made it super easy for me to make my morning cup of tea. And let's talk about the mountain view. it was absolutely stunning! Being able to wake up and see those majestic peaks was pure bliss. As a solo traveler who loves nature, this room ticked all the boxes for me.

Although I loved everything about the room, I have to admit that the Wi-Fi connection was a bit weak. It's my personal opinion as someone who relies on the internet for work and communication, but I understand that others may not find it bothersome.

I had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay at Ballyteige Lodge. The hosts, Sean and Patricia, were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The property itself is stunning, with beautiful gardens and a peaceful atmosphere. I loved the fact that they allowed dogs, as I was able to bring along my furry companion.

The hotel's decoration and overall ambiance at Ballyteige Lodge were truly lovely. The tasteful decor and charming furnishings made me feel like I was staying in a cozy country manor. The general areas of the hotel were spacious and well-maintained, providing ample space for relaxation and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. As a senior woman, I appreciated that the hotel was easily accessible, with well-lit hallways and comfortable seating areas throughout.

While my stay at Ballyteige Lodge was mostly wonderful, I would have loved to have more activities specifically catered towards senior guests. Perhaps some organized walks or gentle exercise classes could be offered to ensure that elderly visitors like myself can fully enjoy their vacation.

The location of this place was jaw-dropping, exactly what we were looking for - a quiet and relaxing spot surrounded by nature. The breakfast was super delicious and served in the beautiful gardens, where we had the opportunity to meet friendly guests from different countries. The hosts, Sean and Patricia, were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. Our Labrador Retriever was welcomed and we enjoyed the comfortable bed. The character of the lodge was mind-blowing, with stunning views from every window. The surrounding grounds were an absolute treat for nature lovers like myself, with an impressive collection of trees and wildlife. The host even provided us with great travel advice and rescued us when our transportation plans fell through. To top it all off, during our stay we were greeted by a wild baby deer which was a truly unforgettable experience. We can't wait to come back for another visit and explore the nearby beautiful walk recommended by our host. It truly felt like a magical fairyland.
